Hello! I am Dr Santosh Ramaswamy. I work as Pediatrics- Specialist at ATLAS Hospital, Al Ghoubra.

I bring with me over 20 years experience in pediatrics.

I graduated from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore. Following it I completed my Postgraduate Diploma in Pediatrics from Bangalore Medical College.

I later did Residency in Pediatric Nephrology. I worked in various capacities in Bangalore and Kerala before coming to Oman in 2005.

I joined the Ministry of Health, Oman and worked in 500 bed tertiary care hospital consisting of over 150 pediatric beds where I have been exposed to all Emergency care pediatrics including neonatal care. My regular work included intubations, ventilation, intercostal drains, exchange transfusion, lumbar puncture, UAC and UVC insertion. I am a trained instructor in neonatal resuscitation programmes and have regularly participated in work shops where I was involved in training doctors and nurses in resuscitation. I have been trained in hematology, oncology works which include intrathecal drug administration, Bone marrow biopsy and aspiration. I have also been trained in air and land transport of sick children and was regularly involved in the transport of sick children using transport ventilators.
