Hi, I am Dr. Rajesh T. Eapen working as Anesthesia – Specialist at the newly opened ATLAS Hospital, Ruwi. We at the ATLAS Hospital wish to provide you all aspects of healthcare throughout your life; may it be preventive, curative or even advice on health related doubts.

I completed my Post Graduate Diploma in Anesthesia from the world renowned Kasturba Medical, College, Mangalore. After that I had in-depth one year training at St. James Hospital, Chalakudy, famous centre for Orthopedics surgery. For the last fifteen years from 1995-2010 I worked as Senior Anesthesiologist at the busy 160 bed General Hospital at Munnar run by the TATA TEA Ltd. I got wide exposure to handling a variety of surgeries both elective and emergency – ranging from General Surgery, Gynecology, Obstetrics, Laparoscopic surgeries, Orthopedics, ENT surgeries. Totally I have handled about 5000 surgeries.

In addition to this I have done Fellowship in Palliative Medicine (FPM) which is jointly organized by Institute of Palliative Medicine (IPM), Calicut, Kerala, India and Christian Medical Association of India, and started the Palliative Care clinic for chronic conditions and End of Life Care at Munnar. At the hospital I have also been administrative charge of the licensed Blood Bank and Laboratory for about ten years. I formulated and implemented the Biomedical Waste Management policy of the main referral hospital and all the estate hospitals. To keep myself abreast of academic activities I was secretary of Indian Medical Association, Munnar Branch and was regularly arranging Continuing Education programmes for nursing staff of the hospital.

I personally was involved with Hospital Management software implementation and have designed websites as my hobby.

As I had my basic education in Orissa and rest in South India I have knowledge of many Indian languages like Hindi, Oriya, Bengali, Malayalam, Tamil and a sprinkling of Kannada.

With this vast experience and as a team member of the ATLAS Hospital I wish to provide you comfortable surgical experience.
