Namaskaram! I'm Dr. Rajagopal Naganathan.

I come from a family of doctors, starting with my grandparents and then my parents who have always imparted to me the importance of knowledge, learning, hard work and overall humanitarian service. So the desire to become a doctor was instilled in me right from early childhood.

I grew up in North Paravur, Ernakulam in Kerala and completed my MBBS in 1996 from the Govt. Medical College, Thrissur, Calicut University, Kerala. Following graduation, I worked as Casualty Medical Officer attending outpatient clinics, managing all kinds of cases in emergency and assisting in procedures.

After gaining a few years of experience, I continued my academic pursuits and successfully completed post-graduation in Orthopaedics from Sree Siddhartha Medical College, Tumkur (Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore) in 2003. During this period I also underwent Neurosurgery training at NIMHANS, Bangalore and Plastic Surgery training at Government Medical College, Bangalore.

I continued as Tutor in Orthopaedics at Sree Siddhartha Medical College, Tumkur and was also placed in charge of the Orthopaedic Unit III at District Hospital, Tumkur.

Subsequently, I joined Medicare Hospital, a 200 bed Multi Super Specialty hospital in Kodungalloor, as the Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon. I have handled all kinds of Orthopaedic cases, including Trauma and Arthroscopic procedures. I have undergone training in Arthroscopic procedures under the able guidance of highly respected stalwarts in the field of Orthopaedics in India.

By joining ATLAS HOSPITAL in the lovely land of Oman, I am getting the opportunity to be part of a new environment and culture. I am blessed with a loving family which includes my wife Bindu, who is a lawyer by profession, my son Aaditya and my daughter Anavadya. Education
