I am Dr. Benaifer Billimoria working as a full time ENT (Oto-rhino-laryngologist) at ATLAS Hospital, Al Ghoubra. I have been in Oman since 2004.

I completed my MBBS in the year 1994 from Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences, Loni, followed by a Diploma in ENT at BJ Medical College, Pune. I was not a serious ENT Surgeon though I had ranked second in my Diploma studies.

After I moved on to Mumbai in the year 1996, I did a 6 months residency post in General Surgery under famous surgeons, one of them being Dr. Themton Udwadia. I joined as a registrar at Bombay Hospital Postgraduate Institute which was the turning point of my career. I worked day and night for four years under the guidance of 8 world-class ENT Surgeons. Apart from routine ENT cases, I got trained into handling head and neck also. I learned how dangerous and difficult an ENT Surgery is, where every moment of life is important. It is where your instant action or inaction can save or break a life. My learning ranged from meticulously doing a simple case of tonsillectomy to doing endoscopic and complicated microscopic ear work. The knowledge gained during that period is as valuable as gold.

Now I try to balance my time between my family of two beautiful daughters, a loving husband and my work at ATLAS Hospital. At times, life is like a rollercoaster. But it is fun and I am enjoying it because family and work are equally important aspects of my life. Education
