Welcome! I'm Dr. Babitha and it is my hope that this page gives you an opportunity to learn more about me and our Pediatrics team at ATLAS.

I have wanted to be a Pediatrician as far back as I can remember and I love my profession; it's wonderful to see the beautiful, glowing smiles of my young patients when they become healthy again after our treatment. And the real rewards are getting to personally know families and watch children grow up and mature into fully contributing members of society.

My work at ATLAS began in 2007 and working here has been an irreplaceable experience. I have had the opportunity to work with people from all parts of the world and form extremely rewarding relationships with both patients and colleagues. My time here has allowed me to grow, refine my skill set and experience different cultures on top of being a part of an exceptional health care institution.
A little more about me
From an early age, the importance of knowledge, learning and hard work had been instilled in me and I consider myself fortunate for having received a good education. I grew up in Kannur in Kerala and completed my MBBS at the Calicut Medical College.

I truly treasure those early golden days as it laid down a solid foundation for my future career. Apart from enjoying the scholastic environment, I certainly learned a lot, both about academics as well as life, from my professors, friends and above all from my parents. Following graduation from college I worked in a few hospitals as a Medical Officer. These experiences enhanced my expertise and taught me practical knowledge on how to care for patients.

A few years into my career, I joined Calicut Medical College once again for my DCH course. In spite of the busy and tight schedule I enjoyed my time of daily learning with a lot of good teachers, colleagues, and above all my little friends, our patients.

After my post graduation I joined a Community Health Centre. My time there was indispensable as I was forced to learn how to make optimum use of the available facilities to provide the best treatment possible. I truly feel that has shaped me to be a better doctor.

When I'm not at work, what I really I enjoy is spending quality time with my husband and son. I am married to Dr. Shibu T. who practices orthopedics at the Ministry of Health in Nizwa. Together, we have a beautiful son, Rohith, who keeps us busy at home with his daily experiments.
