I am Dr. Anoop Soman currently working as Specialist Cardiologist in ATLAS Hospital Al Ghoubra. I hail from the South Indian state of Kerala.

I graduated from Govt Medical College Thrissur. Subsequently I completed MD in Internal Medicine from Govt Medical college, Thanjavur (Dr MGR Medical University). I underwent training in Cardiology from Amrita Institute of Medical Science & Research Centre, Cochin, which is one of the best centres for cardiology in India and was awarded the Diplomate National Board in Cardiology. I passed the Membership Exam of the Royal College of Physicians, London.

The most fruitful part of my professional career was my four years in Amrita Institute where I was fortunate to get trained by the best cardiologists in India. I got trained in ICU, Emergency room & Ward management. I am fully trained in echocardiogram, treadmill test, Holter monitoring, Head-up tilt test, coronary interventions & pacemakers. My intensive training at the 23 bedded Cardiac ICU in Amrita Institute to manage patients with heart attacks, heart failure, arrhythmias & all cardiac emergencies has given me confidence to handle any emergency.

Apart from managing sick patients with all cardiac emergencies my special interest is in management of Hypertension, Dyslipidemia & Heart failure.
